ported stock manifold $800... 6boost $1200.. i know which one i would go.

Personally i would not do it as the stock ones are prone to cracking but Stealth is a major drawcard for power porting though.

Will be good to see the results either way.

Even better to see you got the guys to sort out your car Tyson.

Hey trent. Already got it done! Results are on 1st page. Thoughts?

Me thinks you go back to Status and it'll make the same power.

Happy to run it up one day for free, i remmeber we did one or two runs to check it over for Tyson but i thought it was closer to 290, will check tommorrow.

Found it, made 292 so 10rwkw more than avo dyno.

Where the hell I pull 300 from? son of rajab. Lol. But interesting it only pulled 247 or something on jjm. Now pulls another 25rwkw. Better power across the range

R31nismoid is implying that jjm fudged my results just to fake a gain. Not sure why he feels that way. Perhaps he has been to jjm before and they did that to him.. no clue.

But I trust these guys. They've done right by me so far.

Me thinks results are genuine.

50% gain in flow is nice just pray for no cracks.

Have you had the manifold independantly flow tested?

Those gains in flow seem huge

Im thinking the power gains are real, but im not so sure about the 50% increase in flow

If you think about it 50 cfm to 100cfm is 100% gain. So 160cfm tested on a flow bench to 240cfm is only a gain of 80cfm. 50‰ sounds huge. But the starting number wasn't the highest to begin with as the stock Mani flows like crap.

This is a reputable mob so I can only assume he's not speaking crap. Jjm would tear him a new one if the numbers were fudged. They've been dealing with this guy for years.

yeah 50% gain sounds fantastic, offer stands if you want an independent run... keeps the roller vs hub haters at bay :P

Lol. Might be worth it just for giggles. U still in same place?

to answer ur question about diff between 2 - 1.5.. 2 way lockes on both accel and decel whereas 1.5 is more for accel only

2 ways chatter/jolt a little bit as well, i like it but it sounds like u broke a shaft or something especially in car parks trying to drive around.

Nah new shop is nearly finished.

Now no more complaints from neighbours hey?

Yeah I knew the basics. But thanks for info on how bad the chatter could be. 1.5 might be the go.

sorry trent i meant id rather go 6boost over spending $800 on stock manifold.

Ive been down the modifying stock manifold + 50mm gate addon yrs ago and prefer my highmount setup anyday of the week.

but each 2 there own.

what was the biggest thing you noticed

No I wasn't. I think Trent gets where I was going - so if he is offering another run - take it and post the results.

Remember - you also 'trusted' AVO.

They are the same people. Name change. Jjm are avo. So I still trust them.

Car made initially:

285rwkw @ Avo turboworld

250rwkw @ jjm turboworld.

35rwkw variance from the same place then with no changes to setup. Not very consistent. Hence take it to Trent - it's being offered for free

The owner and the name and the dyno of avo are no more. Avo is now just selling avo branded parts. The tuner mechanics etc got their own dyno and.are now jjm.

So 35rwkw on 2 different dynos is easy done.

    • Price seems pretty good to me. Also seems a hell of a lot cheaper then buying another vehicle that only ever gets used for towing.  I'm a long way from you mate, I'm a couple of hours out of Brizzy.

    • The sodium acetate, mixed with citric acid, doesn't actually buffer each other. Interestingly though, if you used Sodium Acetate, and acetic acid, THAT becomes a buffer solution. Additionally, a weak acid that can attack a metal, is still a weak acid that can attack a metal. If you don't neutralise it, and wash it off, it's going to be able to keep attacking. It works the same way when battery acid dries, get that stuff somewhere, and then it gets wet, and off it goes again breaking things down. There's a reason why people prefer a weak acid, and it's because they want TIME to be able to be on their side. IE, DIY guys are happy to leave some mild steel in vinegar for 24 hours to get mill scale off. However, if you want to do it chemically in industry, you grab the muriatic acid. If you want to do it quicker at home, go for the acetic acid if you don't want muriatic around. At the end of the day, look at the above thumbnail, as it proves what I said in the earlier post, you can clean that fuel tank up all you want with the solution, but the rust that has now been removed was once the metal of the fuel tank. So how thin in spots is your fuel tank getting? If the magazine on the left, is the actual same magazine as on the right, you'll notice it even introduces more holes... Well, rust removal in general actually does that. The fuel tank isn't very thick. So, I'll state again, look to replace the tank, replace the fuel hanger, and pump, work out how the rust and shit is making it past the fuel filter, and getting into the injectors. That is the real problem. If the fuel filter were doing its job, the injectors wouldn't be blocked.
    • Despite having minimal clothing because of the hot weather right now, I did have rubber gloves and safety glasses on just in-case for most of the time. Yes, I was scrubbing with my gloves on before, but brushing with a brush removes the remaining rust. To neutralize, I was thinking distilled water and baking soda, or do you think that would be overkill?
