Power Steering...or Lack Of

I have a 98' R34 GTT and of late, the power steering has been playing up. The steering can be tight while driving, but the main problem is when going at slower speeds - ie. parking, 3 point turns. There is a groaning sound coming from somewhere, and it is as if there is no power steering at all when doing these movements. I have checked the power steering fluid, which is fine, and when she went in recently for some work the power steering hoses and clamps were replaced as they were leaking fluid.

Any ideas? I'm thinking I will be needing a new power steering pump, however would like to make sure this is the problem before forking out a bunch of money.

Leave the bonnet up and get some one to turn the steering. Have a listen and see if the pump is making the noise

if it sounds like the typical whine a VN commodore makes when you turn the wheel, then your pump is shagged.

Yep...sounds like it's the pump. Will just have to source one now.
