Twin Plate Clutch, Other Options

Hey all

Just bought a r33 Gtr for my daily.

It currently has a newish twin plate carbon clutch, and for daily stop start driving I'm not really a fan.

What are my options? The car has 300 kws on low boost and around 350 on high. I won't be chasing any more power...

What are my options for a normal more standard feeling clutch?

And what would my clutch be worth to sell?

Can't understand why people go that sort of clutch on a road car

How do you not like the way it drives?

I have an NPC Single plate in mine that has a soft pedal feel but pretty harsh engagement (button) and I like it, but i get the feeling thats not what your after?

Your clutch is worth $400. Haha, seriously though, no idea how much your clutch is worth. Someone, forget who, has been trying to sell a nismo twin plate for less than half price for about 4,5 months now. So you'll have to make it a good and I say GOOD price to get rid of it.

Anywho, why dont you call NPC or that Jim berry guy (people on here love him and his full monty clutch). Both of those will be able to tell you what you need.

Maybe $900 for the clutch resale - depends what it is.

For a new clutch - Nismo Coppermix, do a search. 100s of threads about them.

NPC do resonably priced clutches, not 'cheap' but they do last well. Give them a call and tell them what you want and they should be able to supply you with a clutch

Mine was about $760 but its a bit more extreme then what your looking for (by the sounds of it)

If you have a twin plate though, you might need a new flyhweel if your going back to a single plate

Twin plates arent cheap mate.

Just for a 650HP NPC single button clutch with flywheel (my setup) cost me just over 1k.

It is expensive but if you ask mr piggaz who recently pulled his out to check after giving it a beating for god knows how long, it is worth it

Done ATLEST 250 7000 RPM + launches. Feels the same as the day I took ownership of the car.

Ni^H^HPiggaz - does it (or can it) use the stock flywheel? On the giken twin i had the flywheel and "plate cage" were a single piece.
