hey guys,

easy question this time, looking for double sided tape that will actually hold something on (bit of body trim has lifted, gunna refit) unlike the crap you buy from supercheap.

would like it super sticky, thin and not to expensive.

buying online is fine or somewhere in/around newcastle

As above 3M double sided tape, has red backing paper. If you want something that isn't going to move pretty much ever try out 3M's VHB 4991 double sided tape (i believe it's what is used to hold the go-pro camera stands etc to cars/boats etc...)

I don't think you can simply get this one from bunnings, but i may be wrong as i get it directly from 3M

where's the cheapest place to get it though, ebay, bunnings or online somewhere, anyone got some shop prices for comparison to online?

Its a roll of tape :P Just pay what it costs ya tight prick LOL!! :) :)

So i dont start a new topic.. can anyone tell me if this stuff works on dash boards? EG under the steering column for turbo timers/ gauge control units?

Iv tried so many things, command strips, double sided tape.. HOT GLUE! (this worked the best)

But eventually everything has fallen off. I even cleaned the area with thinners to try get the dash oils away. One way or another it falls off in the heat.

dash boards are always going to be likely to loose the grip of the tape if they are constantly in the sun . thinners are a bit much to clean your dash lol harsh.. try wax and grease remover , thatll be a little more friendly , you wouldnt want any cloth streaks in your dash from thinners :P .

Tried sikaflex? http://www.sika.com....to_products.htm

it's what they use at the factory when they need to hold on bodyparts/trim without screws/bolts/stupid plastic lugs etc.

**edit: good luck EVER getting it off though
