Rb25Det S1 Rebuild (Plz Help)

Hi guys just got confirmation that my RBs big end bearings are on there way out. So its time for a re build. Im not after anything to full on i wana reach the 280-300Kw range but have a strong reliable engine to do so.

what i would like to know is eaxctly what i will need to rebuild so if there is anyone out there that knows the ropes could you please write me out a list here to rebuild the top end. Bottom end will stay stock apart from being refreshed. Thanks guys and any info will be much appreciated.

Refresh the motor put a 3076 on and enjoy yourself

ok i have heard the term refreshing the motor does this mean just replace everything with standard items?

Just replace whats broken so the bearings

While the person is doing that get them to check wear and tear..

I guess you will be getting it done by a professional ? He will know what to look for

While it's all apart, replace all the bearings (crank, big ends) and put new rings. Theory is that if one component has worn out, chances are another component isn't too far behind.

Get everything balanced (rods, crank/flywheel, pistons), and maybe even try forged pistons.
