From what I can tell from fast the rb25det + rb26 shared some alternators.

So why dont you do what the previous owner did on my car GTS-T and put in a aussie spec bosch unit which is Bosch Part # BXN1231 or it could be a BXN1231A now.

Any good auto elec should be able to convert it quite easily, as my mates had his converted on his series 2 33 GTS-T.

Then later on when the regulator fails, its a simple and cheap $40ish to get a new one.
