What Happens When Fuel Pump Fails While Driving?

yeah dont have an air flow meter or fuel pressure gauge..i stopped well and truely before anything went bang tho haha...

Think i might have to watch some DIY videos on fixing this problem as its my first time ha

20 seconds is an eternity to realize theres a problem and do something about it.

Dont we have gauges for this kind of thing?

If you had an air fuel gauge youd know.

Yuh, but the point being that given it can happen in less than that time, you'd only have to be smashing it through third and fourth gears and intent on the scenery whizzing by to not notice the one or two guages that might give you warning. If it's leaning out it will feel fast and you'll be enjoying the ride, right up until the angry little man with the hammer starts bashing the insides of the engine.

Usually when I've seen pumps fail it's when car is stopped and just wont start? (not including leaning out from not enough flow)walbro (500hp 255l) is good unless high fuel pressure
