Odd Noise When Priming

Hey all,

I've just installed a Sard fuel pressure regulator, HKS fuel rail, ID1000's, and Speedflow -6 braided line and fittings; all genuine. Now I went from 650cc injectors to the 1000cc's so I can't start the car yet, but I primed the system a number of times to check for leaks etc. and noticed that there is now a very loud high pitched squeeling that comes from the engine bay somewhere while it's priming. It's an odd example, but it sort of sounds like when you turn a garden hose on at the tap?

I'm guessing it is the regulator as I'm not sure what else would be making the sound. My Turbosmart fuel pressure gauge shows ~43psi, so I doubt it is too much fuel pressure. I wasn't sure whether all regulators make this sound when they are new or if there is something wrong, so it's made me a bit anxious.

Any ideas?

My old sard reg made a simular noise but still held pressure but ended up using a tomei one

Funny u should say that Blake my tomie one makes funny noises when primeing aswell

But has always held pressure

Yeh it seems to hold pressure fine. It's the first aftermarket regulator I've had, so wasn't sure if they make these noises. I guess I'll see what my tuner says about it
