Driving my car I've started to notice a noise in the left front of the car at low speeds, it's kind of a cross between a creaking and a tapping noise, and happens most when turning at low speeds or going over a speed hump. I've had a look at the car quickly and everything appears to be done up tightly as usual, the car still feels solid when I give it a boot, but the noise is driving me crazy. Has anyone had something like this, or know what it might be?

Cheers.

How low is your car? Only because you say it happens when turning/on speed humps.. Is the tyre rubbing on something?

It's not too low, and even when I bought it and the coil overs were wound down as low as they'd go, I wasn't getting any noise like that, so don't think that's the issue, could be wrong though, guess I'll I have to take it get checked out when I get back from O/S

It will be the castor arms again buddy. Try repositioning the pillowball joint differently

It will? I tryed testing it how you did when I brought it up, didn't make a noise. I'll have a look and if I can't work it out I'll organise to bring it up again?

My car makes about the same noises you are describing, also from the front left hand wheel well, if you find out what it is id be keen to know. I had a quick look today and my tie rods look pretty well shagged so I was thinking it could have possibly been them, maybe have a look at yours as well.
