The NISMO RB26DETT Intake Collector is for the true Nismo connoisseur. It has a very distinct design that is only known to Nismo and with this under your hood not only will you feel drastic power improvements (this unit allows so much more air to flow to your engine you will need to tweak the fuel maps) but you will also notice a dramatic change in the under hood look of your JDM Beast!

Currently on Sale at RHDJapan

All good Tez,

Also beware of dodgy looking second hand units...

The only second hand one i recall advertised on these forums was a std item that was cleaned up and fitted with a nismo sticker...

From RHD website

"Simple bolt-on installation means that no additional work is required (however, the throttle linkage and throttle sensor must be adjusted)"

Although Rich, if you think changing oil filter in stock location is hard enough...

Try getting to all the bolts, water/vacuum hoses & sensors under the plenum while its still in the nuns nasty of an engine bay...

I know a few blokes that have and can do it with the right tools but its not easy an easy feat, esp trying to do it without a few cuts & blood spillage of hands and knuckles...

Thanks Sav, I know what you mean.

if you had the coin would you do this mod and would the benefits be realised in a real life streeter?

Might go check out some threads on after market Plenums ....

"- This product cannot be installed with the engine mounted."

This is an interesting statement as it also says simple bolt on.

What does it really mean ?

Rich, they are suggesting its not possible to install the plenum with the engine in the car - in actual fact it is, just a royal pain!

Good thing I looked at this thread.

I was going to replace my standard one with a polished one, but if this one can't be fitted with engine in, then what chances will I have with a standard one?

Or is this different - fitment wise.

Same/same though oem has smaller internal volume...

Can be done in car with right tools and bit of patience just dont expect it to be an easy job...

Put simply, makes changing gtr turbos/manifolds/dumps look piss easy ;)

Re: Group buy idea...

Ill anti up if we can get em for close to $1K just for a wank factor...

Horses for courses, if i owned a full house circuit/race car and someone sponsered my build id be on it like no tomoro...

They do work no doubt about it...

Nissan Motor Sports Division spent $$$$$$$ in R&D & testing this the final product, but there are more effective mods to be had with $2K for a daily/streeter than fancy bling on the side of your donk... :D

I'm about completed with mine, so this is icing.

If I can get even better response on the dash 7's, slightly better in midrange too, reduction in heat, then it's Fapworthy

Bring on GB :D

Nismo plenum benefits as discussed on SAU.

This tells me enough - Ta

Thanks sincerely for that link!

God_speed found it interesting too...

particularly since his car came back from Unigroup Eng to-day.

His car has a Nismo plenum in it and Yavuz with the right tune extracted a very noticeable improvement in the bottom end to mid range. The plenum wasn't the only contributor of course, but it's the steepness of the graph that this plenum is supposed to influence.

With regard to installation, Kazu at JapLink with his small hands and right tools has no problem at all in this department. He's installed many back in Nara anyway. I guess it's a gene thing eh? Hehe
