Hi Guys,

I'm in the middle of building a 33 Drag car and want to know if i'm on the right track with the power steering removal.

The aluminium block that has the solenoid on it has had most of its insides removed, except the bearings obviously and then i cut the blocks

for the solenoid and p/s oil lines off and plugged the holes. sorry its a bit hard to explain whe you don't know what everything is called.

So now that aluminium thing just looks like a round piece of tube with 2 bearings inside and the flange on the bottom that bolts to the rack.

Now with the 2 fittings on the rack i was just going to loop them together cause if i blocked them off i figure it would presurize on each side of the piston

every time you tryed to turn the wheel.

I've heard that p/s racks run different ratio's compared to non p/s racks so ill have to wait and see how it feels when its done.

I don't really want to buy an aftermarket rack and steering kit if i don't have to, unless the above won't work

thanks for any input

Darren
