R33 Turbo On A R34 Engine?

i have a stagea which has just killed its turbo, and I am trying to source a second hand one to suit..

It has the rb25det NEO engine, and im finding it tough to find a turbo from a r34

So im wondering if the r33 rb25 turbo is pretty much the same as whats on the NEO engine (i do know about the differences in the exahust and compressor wheels), and if it will bolt straight in place of the existing turbo

It will just bolt up. It will work. From what I understand, the Stagea turbo is smaller than the OP6 turbo on the R34 anyway, and the only smaller RB25 turbo I know of is the R33 exhaust housing version anyway. So, FWIW, the R33 turbo is probably very close to being the same turbo as what you just killed anyway.

r34 stock turbos have the bigger op6 exhaust housing than the r33 turbo.

heres a pic of the 2 side by side:

$300 for pats r34 turbo in great condition is a pretty good price i think. Youll probably pay around the $200 mark for a r33 turbo

Yuh, but I was under the impression that the Stagea Neos had (or at least some of them had) the 21U housing.

The series one stageas run the 21U so you are quite correct.

The S2's use neo engines and OP6 housings.
