Thanks for all that info.

Yep car is built forged bottom end, Poncams, and Plazaman plenum.

Exhaust is stock ex manifold to 3 inch.

Intercooler has 2.5 either side.

3076 is 0.82 Ar, should have gone 1.06.

Running 21 psi now, does have more in it.

it does feel like its choking at high rpm

Ahhh... internal wastegate.

IMO you only need it to bring on a big turbo. If you want more power add more boost. If you cant because something is maxxed then you dont want to add nitrous to it.

Why not? If the turbo's maxed out- you can't run more boost to make more power, so larger turbo will have to be purchased, fitted then re-tuned... resulting in a loss of low end for top end gain. If the injectors are maxed out then, larger replacments will have to be bought, installed and re tuned to be able to support more power.

Why not leave the nice responsive turbo, injector, cams in place and have more power too?

I recently put a nitrous system together for a very standard neo engine. The reason that nitrous was chosen over bigger turbo/injector etc combination was it's a daily driven car driven my multiple people. The car is more fuel efficient than standard thanks to a decent tune, retains all the smooth power delivery of a tweaked standard car, can be driven by anyone at anytime without fear of controll or reliability issues, There is NO issue with defects or police attention without the bottle plumbed in.

For an extra 80rwkw (more to come shortly) there is no comprimises other than the ongoing cost of nitrous ($140 a fill). However to gain 80rwkw any other way, I would have to buy- injectors, turbo, intercooler, AFM etc and live with a laggier, fuel guzzler. Not to mention the power delivery is awsome.

So my question is.... if your turbo and injectors are maxed out and you wan't more power- why not throw nitrous at it (done properly- none of this 'sniper/nytrex' BS)?

Exactly what my mechanic said to me when I was considering bigger injectors.

It means, plenum off to get to them, so pretty big job.

Then more boost which will probably start to waiver and cause more wheel spin in 1st and 2nd.

The car is tuned so well, I'd hate to change it.

Low down response is awesome, but it lacks a little power for high speed overtaking, ( on the track of course ).

So looking at a progressive injection set up to work with the Haltech.

Still educating myself in the NOS advice forum.

plenum off to get to injectors is not a big job...every rb20/rb25 goes through this. Replacing the spark plugs is half of the job towards injector replacement anyways haha

Have a look into water-methanol injection. Provide good results and could be less of a headache. (can run straight water instead of doing a blend of water/meth)
