Queensland Coast Areas Of Interest ?

Bit of an odd one but thought id ask the people in the know

From November 3rd to the 20th ill be leaving England behind and flying into Sydney then roadtripping up to Cairns and then back down to Townsville

I was wondering if there are any motoring events, shops, meets or just cool things to do on the trip that I may not know of from all the usual tourist information !

Any ideas will be helpful guys

DJR racing - yatala. they have a display area for their old race cars from the 80s and such. Bowdens on the sunny coast - private collection of cars lots of them. not sure if its open when you are coming through though.

Not sure if the Peter Brock Experience is still running, but was awesome to see a racing legends rides and the sight and sound show is really good. Its in Yeppon, Central QLD, you would have to check if it is still running though.

get online and check the event dates of race venues along the coast. Plenty happening that rime of year. You will miss the gold coast races this week though unfortunately
