Hey there, from doing a little research, correct me if I'm wrong, but does the stock rb25 turbo bolt directly onto an rb20? Is this a worth-while cheaper alternative for a turbo upgrade? Also current mods, cat back exhaust, 12 psi boost, fmic. Would I need a re-tune? And what's the best amount if boost I should run if I do the upgrade? I'm located in Melb, Vic (south eastern suburbs) if anyone has an rb25 stock turbo for sale in great condition, n this is a viable option plz let me know. Thanks

Yep, should bolt straight on and they have a bigger turbine housing than the standard rb20 turbo so you will get a bit more power out of it. Keep the rb20 actuator though and it Would definitely be worthwhile to get a retune once you put it in.

I have one I'm willing to sell for $200 plus postage ($20 or so). It was never boosted past the stock level of 7psi and was only in the car for 105,000km

Let me know if you're interested.

The r33 and also r34 turbos bolt straight up to an rb20 and are a very good cheap upgrade. I had an r34 turbo on mine with the op6 rear housing and that made 176rwkw on 13psi untuned. They should make around 190rwkw with a tune which is a nice little setup imho.
