Any Visual Difference Rb25Det And Rb25De?

hey all, just wondering if there is a way to tell the difference visually between a 25DET and a 25DE? (apart from the obvious turbo lol, but it could be a DE+T)

does the engine number have anything to do with it?

*searched but couldnt come up with anything that helped...

there is enough similaritys between the 2 motors to make a DE to look like a DET , a swap of manifolds and rocker covers/oil cooler maybe all it needs, someone correct me if im wrong but the factory DET has piston oilers and the DE doesnt?

You could use the VIN and put it into FAST to find out if it was factory equipped with a DE or DET

yeah as rob said, its in a VL

a previous owner has told me its a DET

Why is this in the gearbox section?

Do a compression test?
