hotz
Hey guys, Please, advise if I can use 255/35R18 tyres on 18x10 or 10.5 rims? How should they look on a GTR? A picture of this set-up will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Lou Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/398925-pls-advise-25535r18-tyres-on-18x10-or-105-rims/ Share on other sites
Owgasm
You can. Will be stretched on a 10 or 10.5. Considering a 9.5 runs a 265 comfortably - flush fitment. Hadouken
Oh, thats awkward So a 245 on a 10.5 is a no go? haha whats the min for a 10.5 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/398925-pls-advise-25535r18-tyres-on-18x10-or-105-rims/#findComment-6337040 Share on other sites
Owgasm
265 fits on a 10.5, its what a lot of people run who can't go any wider. Money/fitment/size available etc. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/398925-pls-advise-25535r18-tyres-on-18x10-or-105-rims/#findComment-6337105 Share on other sites
R31Nismoid
Yeah 265 will go on a 10.5, even then they look a little "stretched" 255/35 will be quite stretched. Mexican is for GTS-t drivers, not GTR drivers! If you want to fill the wheel you'll need 285s. I run AD08, 285s - rocking on a 10.5" rim. Looks PHAT. 255 on 10" will be ok Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/398925-pls-advise-25535r18-tyres-on-18x10-or-105-rims/#findComment-6337197 Share on other sites
Hadouken
I run 265's. stretched..... :S Did you need to roll the guards to fit them in? or is it all dandy? Owgasm
Stretched on what? 10.5s? Its not that bad a stretch. Fits perfect from my understanding. I know inner clearance is fine. The exterior for me has changed though. R31Nismoid
I run 265's. stretched..... :S Did you need to roll the guards to fit them in? or is it all dandy? I've only had half of the guard rolled (just the middle section). Didn't need to roll the entire guard to fit. My car isn't super low however as i need suspension travel given the use it sees Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/398925-pls-advise-25535r18-tyres-on-18x10-or-105-rims/#findComment-6337410 Share on other sites
Hadouken
Ah I see. 285's would look hot as d cup tits. Thanks Nah 265's aren't stretched like drift spec, but I reckon 275's 285's would look best. Hank Scorpio
I run a 255/35R18 Toyo Proxes R1R on a 10.5" rim on the back of my Cossie, has decent stretch and that tyre is quite wide for a 255. Considering the car is a R33 GT-R that runs 245/45R17 originally I'd lean towards a naturally wide 265/35R18 (R1R, AD08 etc.) or a 275/35R18. JD32R
hey mate if you wanna see what 265/35/18 looks on a 18x10 rim on a gtr have a look at my posts of my car when i got the new rota grids on it. 265 look a little stretched, i think for how low the car is i would not go a 285, however i might play around with how it sits! R31nismoid's R33 Gtr with the 10.5 with the 285s looks pure porn, helps that it has everything, colour, stance, height, wheels. just buy his car lol. (seriously nice car man, loving the wheels!). 265 - little stretched, 285 - purposeful. Not to mention from behind looks pure fat and wide ass.
