hey guys is it ok to have the blow off valve on the Fmic pipe on the turbo side

as i have greddy plenum on my motor... and i dont want to run a long pipe to plump it back to the intake pipe

will having the bov on the turbo side make your turbo have short life time ect ect ?

any info will be good thanks

nissan put the stock bov where it is for a reason. when the bov opens the air keeps travelling in the direction it was before the throttle closed. moving the bov closer to the turbo means that all the air between the bov and the turbo will be moving in the opposite direction to the normal direction of flow. you will also end up with a loss of pressure between the bov and the throttle, so the nearest amount of airflow will be further away from the throttle. when the bov is near the throttle, the pressure will be reduced but the air will still be flowing in the right direction so you will have better response when the throttle opens again.

just dont do it.

doesn't affect toyota's or any of the other cars that run them on the hotside intercooler pipes

The thing with BOV's (f**k a I hate that word...such a shit word...BOV...)

is that even the 50mm race ones arent going to expel 40+lbs/min of air in 1/2 a sec

will reduce the pressure, but not completely
