Mice In Car

hey all,ah as title says i got mice in my car and after 6 weeks of sitting in shed not moving it they have kind of done a number on said car well on,in,around bloody everywhere lol now after operation 'pb on trap' i'm pretty sure i have got them all but now it reeks, just wondering if anyone else has had the same thing and what you used to get the smell out? i vacumed it all out,sprayed heaps of deodorizer and have had a box of bi carb soda in it for 2 days but still really strong smell any helpful info would be appreciated

Rentokil guy was telling me that the smell of dead mice is unbearable, and will last for ~3 weeks, so you might be shit out of luck

Get new carpet and and/or seats

well after numerous good idea's i went with meguiar's odour eliminaror took two bottles but pretty sure smells all gone

Funny problems get funny solutions

I have used hand held steam cleaner (about 1L of water). Part of the smell might be bacteria shit growing in the other shit, that is something that needs to be killed. The steam cleaner on the carpet etc will do that. Steam cleaner professionals do cars, as do some car detailers. Deoderisers may only mask the odour. See how you go when the deoderiser perfume wears off. There is carpet cleaner foam in a can you can buy, you brush it in.

If you need new carpet, I remember a place at Dandy that does new carpet, full interior, for any make/model.
