Hey guys,

Just a quick question...

On my R34 GT-T, the drivers side power window switch has an Auto function (do they all?) that makes the window go down all the way by itself. When i switch the window up, it feels like there's another little "click" to automatically wind up .. but it doesn't.

So on R34's, does the drivers window have the auto wind up function as well as the down? If it does, anyone know what I could check inside the switch that may be at fault?

Cheers.

Does the switch look dirty, as if a contact has had something spilled on it?

I do know that if I operate the passenger side and then the driver's side simultaneously/afterwards, the Auto Up doesn't work.

On its own, yes Auto Down & Auto Up

Ok so I got another switch to try. Same thing, no Auto Up. So there is an issue somewhere else it seems. I noticed in the wiring that someone has cut the "White/Red" thick wire that switches the drivers window motor and connected it to the other White/Red wire next to it. Strangest thing. When you remove the connector they put in, the drivers window has no power, but the passenger one works. Connector back in and both work (but no Auto Up). I'm wondering why this was done! I tested re-connecting the drivers switched White and Red wire back together and all works ok, except Auto Up still.

I heard there was a reset switch on the motor, can anyone confirm that?

Try this it worked for me. If four door lower and then raise rear windows holding the switch on for a couple of seconds after window shuts. Repeat on passenger front window and then on drivers window. If two door coupe just passengers then drivers.

Mine in the stagea always works, half the time!

Old cars have issues. Its not the most annoying thing that can happen.

One day when I have finished everything else I will oull out the switch and clean it.
