Just noticed that i have 2 broken exhaust manifold studs. While i have the manifold off i was looking at getting it ported for better flow rather than getting a cheap stainless manifold.

would this be of any gains or a waiste of my time.

mods so far

splitfire coils

fmic

ebc

hyflowed turbo

bosch intank pump

turbo back exhaust

haltech ecu

any thoughts would be of help

The stock manifold is good for 300kw apparently, one thing you should do is get it faced, cause it will most likely be warped.

Also you could ceramic coat it i like did, might make a difference i hope.

another thing, replace all of the bolts, even the non broken ones with high quality bolts, no cheap stuff

get a die grinder, and take off any hard edges, curves, or castings.

I did it with mine. Apparently, when sending your manifold away for flowing, 80% of the flow is achieved with the die grinder, and the other 20% is achieved with extrusion honing.

You can get similar flow to a Low mount HKS cast manifold if you and grind good and do it properly.

Oh, and definitely get it faced.
