Hey guys i have an R33 and i ordered a set of rims 18x9.5+22 and they sent me 18x9.5+12 i have the option to swap them over to the offset i ordered or keep these ones... what would you guys do? iv been going back and forth and i don't know what to do.

The plan was to run 18x9.5+22 with 235/40/18 and roll the guards. I do not want the flare my guards anyone running this offset can help me out? The look i want is for the rims to stick out just enough to have a bit of stance.

my car sits approx approximately 10cm off the ground (can just fit a coke can under the side skirts) i do not have camber arms but i do have aftermarket shocks and springs non adjustable.

The rims where test fitted on the front passenger side with bone stock guards.

Excuse the messy garage in the process of cleaning it all up hahah

LOL you guys are not helping one bit wanted someone to say swap them seems like everyone is for phat stance.

If I do decide to keep them can someone tell me what I'll need to do to my guards ? Roll / pull? Will I need camber arms ? Do I need to lower my car further ? Any info would help thanks guys.

Even pics of ppl with the same offset will do justice to help me make a decision

Keep it legal and keep it in the guards, no point looking all "Stanced" if your going to get defected everytime you cruise...

I want to go 9.5 all round too as it looks so much better and is practical but until i can afford to roll guards etc ill just keep the staggered 8.5 and 9.5 arrangement...

i know bugger all about offsets, but cops seem to know a thing or two about it :P

I have decided to keep them =) But... does anyone have pictures of this offset on there GTST?

@ HEKT1K hahah i have already spoken to Hamish and i got pics of his it looks great, but id like to see few other r33 with same offset just to have a better idea of how they sit.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
