Anyone play this or heard of it?

started playing it last week and its good fun. It's free, but i chose to pay $10 after a few days because the developers have done a great job.

I was invited to the alpha and beta but declined due to previous experience with the developer and their incompetence.

I've been playing on and off since the beta. It's not bad but you get bored of it quick, I used to play Tribes 2 alot which was a hell of alot better than this. Ascend feels like a dumbed down version.

really? thats a shame. I thought it was really balanced, offers a fair bit of variety in game-style and tactics. even the pro matches are pretty exciting. the online match setup and even payment layout is pretty darn good... compared to something like the browser based system of BF3.

Pretty good for a free game though for sure!

"Free" or not, it will still cost me my time which I can't get back.
