R34 Gtt Auto Trans Operation And How M-Auto Is Controlled

Hey guys i need to know how the r34 gtt auto electronic tiptronic shifting is controlled is it controlled standalone by the ecu and nothing else or is it also controlled in conjunction with the shift control unit underneath the dash on the drivers side kickpanel just need to know soo i can clear things up

The R34 TCU is inside the ECU. It's a little sub board that sticks up from the ECU's main board, about the size of a stick of RAM.

Ahh thank you! And does that also control the sequential shifting aswell?

There's nothing tricky about the transmission. Up/down buttons on the steering wheel are nothing out of the ordinary. In other words, yes, the TCU does all the control.
