Hey Guys,

ok so im fairly new to skylines, i hav and r33 with an rb25det.

It has recently started to act wierd under acceleration but not all the time and not all the way through the rev range.

So for example if i pull away from the lights quicker than normal but not flat out, first gear ok change into second it will be ok as i got up the revs the all of a sudden it will stop accelerating almost like its bogging down, foot will still be down on accelerator but nothing happening. so il clutch down and blip it a few times to clear it up then its ok, then change into third and it will do it again at roughly the same rpm????

But it does not do it all the time, maybe half the time. Im not confident but i was thinking maybe running lean or rich at this point just to a fuel/air sensor or an air volume sensor??

Is this common and specific things to check or clean??

The engine is completely stock apart from a HKS pod filter and a turbo back exhaust, which were both on the car when i bought it 2 months ago.

Greatfull for any info advice or solutions cheers

What kind of boost are you running?

Do you know what rpm it does it at.

When it happens do the revs keep climbing or do they bog down much like the car does.

Could be clutch slip

Could be R&R rich and retarded from running to much boost.

Also could be misfiring

so dry joints on these plugs is a common issue??

It sounds and feels to me like it could well be this or something very similar. Unfortunatly i dont know anybody else near me with a skyline.

But i may try cleaning and re inserting all the plugs??

I have not had any kind of engine warning lights come on, would a sensor issue not trigger this? ie if the afm sensor is playing around with the mixture would the exhaust egr sensor not read faulty??
