Oem Alternator With Higher Output?

Hi all,

Is there an OEM alternator for RB engines that has a higher output than the stock RB25DET alternator?

Or

Can I get my current alternator refurbished to a higher output?

gtr alternators are 90amp whereas i believe yours will be 80amp, bosch ones are an option apparently with rb30 and minimal fiddling around to fit other rbs, not sure what output though

Why do you need bigger Dave?

Internal connections can be changed for higher output but charging at low speeds suffers.

90 amp I think is the biggest skyline alt but there is prob something bigger around that can be made to fit.

Bigger battery?

Maybe check with discopotato as he was looking into this a yr ago

I have been told there is a 120amp out there that people use, any know what it is or where I can get it?

Surely people have had to upgrade the alternator at some stage?

There are 200, 220 and 240amp alternators for newer model Nissans like Maxima, 350Z etc.

Anyone know if these will be ok to use or if anyone has used them on an RB?

Wow pretty exxy. I have since put the biggest battery I could fit on the rear shelf, so far no dramas.
