Demon Hunter, level 18 at the moment, a bit slower than you guys, but I am investigating every bit of the map as i go through it. Just starting scene 2 after killing the *spoiler alert*........................................ butcher.

So question for you.

With your money, do you save for better items, OR do you train your smith to make better items?

finished the first run thru today. Diablo is a sweet fight! if a little frustrating

Yeah i finished first pass couple of days ago as well, but found the Diablo Battle was way to easy passed it first go no hesitations, the Butcher on the other hand i died heaps of times. Still happy with the overall game but

im playing normal mode, act 3 and Ive had enough money just collecting blues and yellows and selling approx 70%, salvaging 30% (salvage the low value blues the blues all give the same ingredients and quantities). Only sold 1 thing on the auction house a unique? (Dark gold/brown named item) witch doctor mask i got 10k for. But i always explore areas fully and loot everything. Selling magic items isnt that lucrative where I'm at, better off with gold drops. Both jeweller and blacksmith trained up to the point where i need the pages found in nightmare mode to go further.

I'm working on training up the gem crafter as well as the blacksmith guy. I never buy/ craft any armour or weapons because the drops are always better at this stage. Gem crafter on the other hand has been very useful.

Yeah up to the level with the jeweler where i need 10 tomes to go any further. Would love to be able to buy chipped gems etc, maybe you can later but i can at the moment, i just get them in the occasional drops. Really want a gem to make my attack % speed increase, i think that makes the biggest difference.

Blacksmith though seems to be ok.

Blacksmith is willing to make a rare belt for me but its a level 26 minimum and currently on 24.

Not getting any really good or rare items in my drops better than what i have right now. Most of my magic items sell for about 150, nothing over 200 gold coins yet.

Still on Act 2, so no doubt as things progress they will get better.

Any of you guys getting this continual patch update loop?

I am on the Asia server, basically i selected ok to do the patch, exits the game, downloads a 1gb patch, says its installed, goes to play the game then says you need to install the patch then kicks you off, then repeats like this.

So cannot play the game.

Unbeleivable. nearly finished act 2 as well onto the final boss, but has now been about 3 days i have lost connection.

Have tried changing the server to us which it lets me play, but all the way back to the begining with a new character F&*k that!

this has got to be the worst launch of a game i have ever seen.

My wizard sucks at the moment.

Haven't been able to find any good gear. So am going through the auction house, but im close to level 60 (58).

Friends told me to wait a little, the drops in Inferno are quite good.

Yea act 2 on hell lvl 55 wizard. Those special mobs are a pain. Worst combos - mortar, teleport, arcane or mortar, fire chains & waller. Sometimes you come across mobs that have invulnerable shields on and you gotta kill the main one first...Good challenge though!

    • Very decent bit of kit. Definitely black it out I reckon.
    • Because people who want that are buying euros. The people with the money to buy the aftermarket heads and blocks aren’t interested in efficiency or making -7 power, they’re making well over 1,000hp and pretty much only drive them at full throttle  best way to way make money is know your customer base and what they want and don’t spend money making things they don’t want.
    • It's not, but it does feel like a bit of a missed opportunity regardless. For example, what if the cylinder head was redesigned to fit a GDI fuel system? It's worth like two full points of compression ratio when looking at modern GDI turbo vs PFI turbo. I'm pretty reliably surprised at how much less turbo it takes to make similar power out of a modern engine vs something like an RB26. Something with roughly the same dimensions as a -7 on an S55 is making absolutely silly power numbers compared to an RB26. I know there's a ton of power loss from things like high tension rings, high viscosity oil, clutch fan, AWD standby loss, etc but it's something like 700 whp in an F80 M3 vs 400 whp in an R33 GTR. The stock TF035HL4W turbos in an F80 M3 are really rather dinky little things and that's enough to get 400 whp at 18 psi. This just seems unwise no? I thought the general approach is if you aren't knock limited the MFB50 should be held constant through the RPM range. So more timing with RPM, but less timing with more cylinder filling. A VE-based table should accordingly inverse the VE curve of the engine.
    • I've seen tunes from big name workshops with cars making in excess of 700kW and one thing that stood out to me, is that noone is bothering with torque management. Everyone is throwing in as much timing as the motor can take for a pull. Sure that yields pretty numbers on a dyno, but it's not keeping these motors together for more than a few squirts down the straight without blowing coolant or head gaskets. If tuners, paid a bit more attention and took timing out in the mid range, managed boost a bit better, you'll probably see less motors grenading. Not to name names, or anything like that, but I've seen a tune, from a pretty wild GT-R from a big name tuner and I was but perplexed on the amount of timing jammed into it. You would have expected a quite a bit less timing at peak torque versus near the limiter, but there was literally 3 degrees of difference. Sure you want to make as much as possible throughout the RPM range, but why? At the expense of blowing motors? Anyhow I think we've gone off topic enough once again lol.
    • Because that’s not what any of them are building these heads or blocks for. It’s to hold over over 1000hp at the wheels without breaking and none of that stuff is required to make power
