i have just installed my turbo timer and i bought one of those adapters so i didnt need to cut any wires, but my problem is when i switch the car off the engine still runs which is cool until the timer does its thing but when i go to arm the car only the doors lock. anyone know how i can interface the alarm with the timer or anywhere i can go get it done.

any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

I agree although my skyline has a working interface alarm/ turbo timer. But it was like that, and i never ever use the turbo timer unless i do an occasional track day but turbo times are just annoying, and to many dramas. I would suggest removing turbo timer (Useless function ) unless your smashing your car for long periods of time on the road which we hope your not :/

yeh i know but since i have it i might as well use it. asked a few auto sparkys and got different views. some say u need a module in ur alarm, some say change it to igniton key side, some say chuck a couple of relays in.

yep .. piss the timer off..

Hi chris

I've heard this a few times in regards timers and alarms. I'm currently running a timer in my R32 however would like to install an alarm and remote central locking. Is there any way for the timer and alarm to work harmoniously together or is pissing the timer off the best option. If so why? Thanks in advance for your time and knowledge.

so you want me to come take your car in the middle of the night ? may as well you have made the 3 basic things a lot easier for me to access..

in all honesty find a unit that has one built in or one that will allow a timer to work with it.

autowatch have them built in and they can be wired accordingly with various countermeasures. ( customers of mine know what this means - send me a PM and I will explain it.)

mongoose will go either way. they have the ability to act as a timer or will work with one IF they are setup correctly.

its more about install than alarm though.

    • For something like this, I'd skip just going for the cheapest, I'd find the place with the best experiences people have had, especially for restoration work. Like everything, there is upholsterers, and then there is upholsterers. Some really great upholsterers for automotive restos won't even appear to have an online presence.   My guide would be find some of the old school classic cars that have been fully restored and are immaculate, and ask the people who own them who did the work on their seats
    • Might be tricky matching the seat trim material  If your got the funds you "may" want to get the rear re-trimed as well to match the front
    • How much is it to re-uploster?  Well that's a "how longs a piece of string?" question !  And I answer thusly: "twice half its length! " . . . . . .  Seriously you'll have to chase multiple quotes for that one from different uphlostrerereres !  Ask around, in your area and on the forums, chase reviews and most of all see the finished product in person cause photoshop is a wonderful thing !
    • Hey everyone!!  I've noticed that whenever I do my oil changes, after putting 4L in, the oil level sits at the top mark in the dipstick. This is after letting the old oil drain for a very long time too! I've checked the oil level daily for the past few mornings. It happens every time and it's confusing because all the threads say that it should take about 4.7L (With some just adding the full 5L) My next thought is to figure out if the dipstick I have is correct so could someone please tell me the length of the RB25DET engine oil dipstick?  I've checked images of some of the genuine dipsticks, but none of them have the length in it. https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-engine-oil-level-dipstick-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-stagea-c35-laurel-y34-cedric-gloria-rb25de-t-neo?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOortQXofgmiHVRKuIaiKuygL4k0Ewp68c3isGZk0vvKOJ7Yqf3iB However.... the engraving on the genuine ones say 05002 while mine says AA000. This makes me believe that maybe I have a wrong dipstick? I just want to confirm before I buy a new one. The car is a fresh import from Japan so I don't have details of the previous owner to ask him. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾
    • Sport. I didn’t rebleed it cause I just removed the slave and left connected.    I will change line and slave and see how it goes.
