The solobaric subs use much less space then generic boxes give you , the generic box will be too big and sound crap and could kill the woofer

two subs in a shared space ( tyre well ) will actually make it worse the tyre well is too big and shared space halves the volume required for 2 subs

I would do custom to save space and sound better

Which car model is it , most have enough room for a 12 in behind the side panel on passenger side ? So it wouldnt take any extra space at all !!!

The solobaric sounds better with a tiny bit of polyfill on the back wall of the box , smoothes out the sound and tighter sounding

im trying to minimise the amount of boot space the box will occupy so no dual subs.. as troy mentioned they do quite well in small boxes (1 cu.ft max as per kicker specs)

car: r32 so no space in the back, want to tuck it between the shock towers in the boot

You can do a half tube under the rear deck for a solobaric 10 easy

Tight bass , light weight enclosure and leaves. Room for amp to mount on it too

To look nice?

Mate those DD subs use a lot bigger box and with that much power

A good /proper box is a must of kiss them good bye I've seen more then a few torched

From a noobie , are those sealed or ? The split in the floor mount almost looks like you have them

Running free air ? Mind you its viewed on iphone lol

They would fit with ease on each side panel and minimal loss of space and not super heavy like that brick , which looks to big for the specs on solobaric 12's

the side panels are prime spots for custom boxes for up to 12" subs , 15" fit inverted but use a fair bit of space

Slim mount subs fit in a bunch of spots including inside the gtt rear cabin walls but custom box only

2 12" will fit under the rear deck if your clever and specs are right , ported thru factory speaker holes or in the sedan the ski tunnel pass thru

    • For something like this, I'd skip just going for the cheapest, I'd find the place with the best experiences people have had, especially for restoration work. Like everything, there is upholsterers, and then there is upholsterers. Some really great upholsterers for automotive restos won't even appear to have an online presence.   My guide would be find some of the old school classic cars that have been fully restored and are immaculate, and ask the people who own them who did the work on their seats
    • Might be tricky matching the seat trim material  If your got the funds you "may" want to get the rear re-trimed as well to match the front
    • How much is it to re-uploster?  Well that's a "how longs a piece of string?" question !  And I answer thusly: "twice half its length! " . . . . . .  Seriously you'll have to chase multiple quotes for that one from different uphlostrerereres !  Ask around, in your area and on the forums, chase reviews and most of all see the finished product in person cause photoshop is a wonderful thing !
    • Hey everyone!!  I've noticed that whenever I do my oil changes, after putting 4L in, the oil level sits at the top mark in the dipstick. This is after letting the old oil drain for a very long time too! I've checked the oil level daily for the past few mornings. It happens every time and it's confusing because all the threads say that it should take about 4.7L (With some just adding the full 5L) My next thought is to figure out if the dipstick I have is correct so could someone please tell me the length of the RB25DET engine oil dipstick?  I've checked images of some of the genuine dipsticks, but none of them have the length in it. https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-engine-oil-level-dipstick-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-stagea-c35-laurel-y34-cedric-gloria-rb25de-t-neo?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOortQXofgmiHVRKuIaiKuygL4k0Ewp68c3isGZk0vvKOJ7Yqf3iB However.... the engraving on the genuine ones say 05002 while mine says AA000. This makes me believe that maybe I have a wrong dipstick? I just want to confirm before I buy a new one. The car is a fresh import from Japan so I don't have details of the previous owner to ask him. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾
