killed the old rb20 so just did a rb20 donk.

i'm getting a missfire above 5k, cant be coils as they were fine on the old motor 2 weeks ago,

i marked the cam gear cover with a vertical line which continued onto the cas, so i just swapped the cam gear cover onto the new motor and lined it up. now i figure the cas timing might by slightly out so i'd say thats the problem although i'm just after confirmation and other ideas before i get the cas timing checked on monday

rb20

FIMC

walbro

hyper ss1 turbo at 14 psi

3" turbo back

BCPR6ES at 1.1 gap, same specs that was working fine on the old motor with the same list of mods.( i did end up gapping the old plugs to 0.8 when the old motor was working fine so either way the gap isn't the problem)

yea might be quicker if i just buy a timing light

still more ideas to throw at me for the meanwhile guys?

was thinking maybe the new engine is a bit more 'fresh' then my old one therefor there would be more air pressure put onto the spark, so gapped plugs to 0.8 and slightly advanced cas timing (counter clock wise)

problem solved ;)
