smoke out of zorst

last sunday i went on a cruise and noticed that out of zorst's of about 3 of the cars was a small puff of smoke when they taken off from the lights.

they all had some modifications but nothing too major (from what i could tell) but im wondering if this is normal?

i dont think it was condensation because it just seemed too warm that day.

yes smoke out of an exhaust is normal

cars that are modded generally run rich for saftey...

so when on boost you will see excess fuel coming out the exhaust, generally black smoke.. white or blue smoke is bad.. black smoke is ok - means the engine is safe

yeah if it was dark, grey / blue / black smoke when they are accelerating its just excess fuel, if you see puffs of white or blue smoke when they back off or deaccelerating then thats bad news.

yeh would be steam for sure. every car does that on cold days

It was probably due to the cars having atmo blow off valves on them.

Atmo bov's (on cars that come out of the factory equppied with afm - air flow meter sensor) cause the engine to run rich after gear changes, and black smoke to come out of the exhaust when the driver backs off the throttle.
