ARTZ
So I found a leak on my rail the other week, dodgey o-ring..no worries welded a bung in it problem solved.. fit it all back up and prime.. Now with ignition still on ,fuel pressure hits 3bar , then ever so slowly drops down to about 1-1.5 bar then sits there.. I haven't started it up yet and I can't find another leak anywhere. but is it right that it drops still, or should it be holding at 3 bar? Just want to make sure before I bolt all my pipes back up.. bzkr33
From memory my stock pump would prime up to the same and if you left it sitting, it would slowly drop to around about 1.5 almost 2bar as well. I don't remember the definite numbers but it did drop significantly, with my nismo pump it primes up high and very slowly drops slightly not much though. scotty nm35
Nothing weeping mate? I would just see how it goes. Get it on the dyno will you... Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/401290-fuel-pressure/#findComment-6375566 Share on other sites
ARTZ
Its a tomei pump, good reg..pretty sure it was holding before I got a leak.. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/401290-fuel-pressure/#findComment-6375573 Share on other sites
GTSBoy
Yuh, it's just bleeding pressure out through either the fuel reg, or back via the pump (check valve not working properly). ARTZ
So is it an issue? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/401290-fuel-pressure/#findComment-6375590 Share on other sites
scotty nm35
Not if there is no leaks... How long does it hold 20psi though? Wind the reg up and test it at 70psi, then drop it back to where it was. Make sure its running the same pressure though, or don't boost it before the retune. STATUS
No issue, pretty common to drop pressure. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/401290-fuel-pressure/#findComment-6375716 Share on other sites
Moodles2
How much fuel pressure will the check valve hold if left for awhile? I'm curious what kinda pressure they keep engine startup Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/401290-fuel-pressure/#findComment-6375777 Share on other sites

ARTZ
I ran 90psi through mine accidently..the pump started squeeling rather loudly..still ok as far as I know..but now Im uncertain... scotty nm35
It should be fine, most pumps have a relief valve built in. If it still works/starts you will find out on the rollers if it flows well. Hurry up, Trent should have his dyno fixed soon, get in line quick. lol.
