for those of you that have access to autospeed..

I was reading this..

http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2128/article.html

and the extract that I was interested in is this..

The Phase II kit includes a replacement set of six injectors (which are rated at about 360cc against the stockers at 300cc) plus an additional fuel Bosch pump.

apparently they have seen stock xr6t's make anywhere from 160rwkw (auto) to 210 rwkw (freak engine and manual gearbox)

anyway.. as you can see in the quote above, the stock injectors are 6 x 300cc and some cars are able to make over 200rwkw in stock form..

so why is it that R33's (for this example) with 6 x 370cc injectors are all changing their injectors/pumps/regulators before that power figure?

I know that one is 4L and the other a 2.5L but I thought that both being 6 cylinder and turbo, and similar injector capacity, they would have died off at around the same power figure regardless of engine capacity..

I also thought that the 4L would require MORE fuel..

also take note that with the above fuel upgrade (change from 300cc to 360cc), the new injectors and bosch pump combo, along with exhaust, UNICHIP, air filter box mod, 12psi boost, the XR6T's crank out about 280rwkw...

HOW? how is it that 6 x 360cc and bosch pump are enough to fuel that sort of hunger?
