Hey guys, I have decided to try and retrim the interior fascia on my SII R33 and also the surround on the driver's side power window.

Anyone done this before?

I was thinking a carbon fibre weave look, done in stick on vinyl.

Or does anyone know where it can be done.

Thanks heaps.

I'm pretty sure The Spoiler Shop do this, as they painted my dash plastics for me (Could of really attempted it myself after looking at the procedure, but wouldnt of got the great results).

I know it costs more then just a strip back + paint, around 300 for all the plastics, but they do a good job.

I also know of some people in the eastern states who got some carbon fibre type of contact and did it themselves but apparently very time consuming! Good luck

redoin the dash and other hard plastic bits is pretty easy the only real problems i had when doin mine was gettin the origional coatin off the its just a matter of platic primer and get a paint guy to mix up a few spraypaks of your color for the best finish spray it with clear afta it took me a weekend to go from s#@$y worn dash to nice silver blue and not to many swear words either

I can do it myself but problem is I don't have a workshop to do it. And doing it in an open space at my place means while paint is drying dust/dirt particles could landed on the surface and spoil the result. I had this done on my speedo surround, because it was a small part, as soon as I spray it I took it inside and cover it with a box. Dash facia is a different story as it's way too large to find a box to fit to cover it. So I'm sticking with black on mine, but silver would be nice.

Seen blue, red, carbon fibre texture (stick-on) but never seen gunmetal. Anyone tried gunmetal before?

The easiest & cheapest solution to the scratched dull grey look , is to scrape off all of the grey paintlike finish & polish the black plastic underneath :D It's a bitch of a job , but looks great in shining gloss black :P

Thanks Bro, that's a top tip ! :(
