Just go to a shock shop and they should be able to offer a number of alternatives after having a look at yours.

Only cost me $1400 for new Tein coilovers from Fulcrum I would not waste my money on standard shocks when you can get Tein for not much more.

yeah but i see $1400 of coilovers as a waste of money because i dont need or want coilovers.

kiwi, im guessing you guys have useful suspension shops over there? i fit suspension at work and i buy from pedders or monroe. neither of which are any help.

RHDjapan have kyb's listed but not to suit a manual. $332 shipped for a pair.

Does your RS4S have forks like the GTR at the back or eyelets like the front?

Why not GTR fronts and rears? The weight of both cars are pretty similar.

Maybe but you can't get 4 wheels, floor jack, tool box and 60L of fuel into the back of a GTR!

most coilovers for stagea are just gtr ones with s14 rear top plates and they dont work PROPERLY. i wouldnt suggest stock gtr shocks either as there is alot of difference between a coupe and a wagon. chase up KYB with the part number stamped on the shocks. if that doesnt work you may have to get a set of stockers refurbished. id suggest teins or genuine nismo stuff as its the only shocks made to suit stagea.

Thats why coilovers are so popular and most coilovers are height adjustable so your getting to lower the car as well. If your not keen on coilovers due to the ride comfort Tein are always going to be the best ride comfort for coilovers as the spring weight is not as hard as other coilover brands. Plus there able to be reconditioned by Fulcrum.
