Does anybody know any good companies that can do engine transport from NSW to Brisbane? I need an engine picked up from Taree, but don't know if it's best to use an every day courier, or if there is someone better. Anyone with any experience in this that can help me out?

Thanks

It would need to have all the fluids drained and the ports etc sealed up as they do not want anything leaked onto the truck.... If you can get it strapped to a pallet etc you will have a better chance with most transport companies....

I dont know of any off the top of my head, but thought id mention about the oil etc.....

I used http://www.e-go.com.au/ to get my alfa motor from melbourne.

Did depot-to-depot, so old mate loaded it onto a pallet for me with all the fluids drained etc and took it to the depot, and then i picked it up from the brisbane depot.

I think they also do door-to-door, but you need to have a facility for loading/unloading the pallet (e.g. forklift)

Tracking left a lot to be desired but other than that good value and it didn't go missing.

Cheers guys. It's from a workshop so I'm sure the bloke will know to drain it. Smits I'll give those boys a call. It's being delivered to a workshop too, so unloading won't be a drama :)

Workshops wont generally have a forklift or anything unless its a wrecker or similar BUT they should have some muscle to unload it..... Check at both ends before you try send it ;)
