Hey all

Im getting my front lip repaired and painted on my 33 GTR.

But i cant work out what colour to paint it?

Tossing up between, white, black (gloss, matt or semi gloss)

The car has black XD9s on it and adding a frount mount (shiney) soon.

Ideas?

I've gone Satin black rims, Satin black intercooler and Satin black engine bay on a white car and i love the result! Its a tough look without being overstated....

Just make sure your happy with the decision and not just going on others opinions..... :D

yer true mate...

i havent seen to many with white lips.... but if i went white lip i would get the black inserts that go in the bar around the indicators... the name of them alludes me now.. border items i think... but if i kept the black lip i wouldnt do it

Either way i think it will look good! I would weigh up what you want to do with the cooler though too, do you NEED shiny? Do you want to attract attention? A nice stealth cooler is probably better for less attention from the boys in blue but it really depends on the mods on your car as to whether that is a concern or not?

Dude if you want an "alternative" option which sort of blends with your options together and adds in some practicality also you could try something like what i got.

try a stoneguard finish, alot of the new cars have these for side skirts front and back lips etc etc, its like a mottled/wrinkly sort of finish.

I wanted mine in the flatt black as per OEM how they came from factory however dumbass repairer colour coded it back to gunmetal grey which actually looked awesome.

If you want some pics mate, i probs have some around somewhere after it got fixed up.

the stuff also protects against debree, stone chips etc etc hence 'stone guard' lol. and looks hot in the matt black finish.
