Do you get a specific amount of sessions with an instructor? Any formality to ensure instructors are evenly shared amongst participants?

Since there's 12 cars/session and 4 instructors you'd average an instructor once every 3 sessions, so you should get two instructed sessions per day but it would be easy enough to miss out if its not structured.

50 bucks for a licence on the day that will set you up for the year, i know most people have their own timing and i even bought a gps thing recently but its a bit unreliable and its nice to have some kind of running score sheet on the day.

i know it sounds lame but thats a deal breaker for me

Everybody is different with the instruction. It is extremely hard to work it out in a mathematical way on the day. Some people ask for multiple sessions, some cars do not have passenger seats, some cars arrive late or leave early. How many sessions would you like Adam?

You will need at least a Wakefield license LAMBCHOPS, as Patty has said. To get on to any track, generally a AASA or CAMS LS2 license is required. You can't just rock up, sorry. There is a booking form on the original post. I run these days every month at Wakefield and need to have people as organised as possible before they rock up to the day.

haha Patty...it does sound a bit lame ;)

Hehe it's not lame, I'm just a cheap bastard who wants all the trimmings for his hard earned.

The instructional coaching element is Arguably offering value much beyond what a standard track day could offer which for noobs is great but, well, basically I know Wakefield like the back of my hand and NO amount of teaching or practice could make me any faster than I already am on that circuit!

I bet these guys could point out a few areas you're making mistakes in...

And as you circulate through different trainers, they will pick up different things.

yeah Matt i was being a smartarse with that post, dont worry.

Im pretty sure i could spend the next 40 years on that track and still find ways i could improve my times, im just kinda shithouse at applying verbal instruction to my driving.

practice makes perfect i say, at least once you have the basics down.

If you are practising mediocrity, you will only end up with one result, being mediocre :action-smiley-069:

It should be perfect practise makes perfect.

That is the problem, most people do not realise the mistakes they are making.

haha fair enough, would like to think that if i noticed my times werent improving i would experiment with different lines, braking distances, vary which gear im in depending on corner until i noticed a drop in times again.

Unfortunately i cant afford to get out there often enough to have been able to 'perfectly practice' with my current set up. The last time i was out there i managed a 1.10.3 as a PB so im hoping with a little more effort that the car is capable of cracking 1.09's..

I am very curious to see what a pro driver could do with it, if i can get the GPS timer thing working then im tempted to sign up for one of these days just to see what the BOZMAN can show me is possible..

(lost the product key that enables the software and eric isnt replying to my PM's)
