Mike Burroughs at Stance|Works did a write up on a Forza Horizon preview they were invited to.

He says the physics "perform just as they always have".

i dont think it explicitely uses the Forza 4 cars. I remember they said that the cars use different models due to the ridiculous amount of dynamic lighting in Horizon. Though I'm pretty certain car customisation will remain the same as in FM. They said in passing that the Festival will be where you customise your cars in one of the gameplay vids.

Demo out in 2 days. That'll be the ultimate test.

Hoping what i've heard is true; that once you turn the driving aids off, its just like FM

and the physics?

Same as Forza 4.

Only gripe is the vibration needs to be turned up a shittonne. Pretty pathetic.

But there's a huge thread on Forzamotorsport.net on it so a patch will probably be out on release.

I thought the physics felt different to forza 4. Everything to me felt cushioned whereas forza 4 feels more raw. Not sure how I feel about it, it does feel more arcadey in the way the cars handle imo.

Btw In pretty sure there's a silver r33 in the intro somewhere

    • I think a lot of you hit the real issue, these brands aren't making cars at a competitive price. Lucky that Foxxconnnn didn't buy Nissan otherwise the cars would be built by 13 year olds doing 15 hour shifts like iPhones. This reminds me of British Leyland. 5th largest global manufacturer in 1968, collapsed by 1975 with only a couple of brands escaping to be owned by Chinese brands today. Along they way they vacuumed up MG, Jaguar, Daimler, Rover, Land Rover, Austin, Morris, Wolseley, Mini, Triumph, Riley, Alvis,  Yes, they had other problems but the basic issue was the wrong production (and therefore retail) price. If you are a car manufacturer and you haven't noticed China coming, its already too late.
