I been asking around for RB25 cams keeping VCT with 264/272 and been talking to jim at cam tech and he can offer me this cams

Will I have coil bind with stock springs? And what do you think??

The specs are as follows

 

ADV/DUR        DUR @.050            LIFT    

264/272         221/236           9mm/9mm

The coil bind height is about 0.380" (9.65mm) but you should always leave 0.040" as a safety margin. Even though they say 9mm lift, do you know what the actual valve lift is?

I assume it's somewhere around 8.7mm-9mm.

I know Tomei do an 8.8mm Pro cam but they do suggest springs.

Think about it this way: If you break a spring and drop a valve, how much is your engine worth to you?

Put better springs in it. I recommend Supertech
