our target is to achieve 550hp ...... on reasonable expense

i guess the question that he is trying to ask without actually asking a question if i was to dabble in a guess the answer to he's question would be that he wants to know what he needs to reach that goal and how much it is going to cost

Why do you want 550hp?

That's an unusual figure to come up with considering you clearly have no idea what you're doing.

Seriously, there's so much info around on how to tune RB25 it's almost silly.

But to give you a brief rundown, to achieve 550hp reliably you're looking at $20k+. Do you have $20k to spend? If not, then do a search for what is achievable within your budget.

you can get that kind of power out of the 25 but you will need more than the bolt ons that you have listed,a full rebuild with high quality internals to start with and there is your driveline to consider. . .

If your doing a manual convert as well then allow about $25k to do it properly... Look in my Sig, it's still untuned but if your talking flywheel HP then it's possible, if your talking at the wheels then your a crazy kid :P
