Flat Battery After Removing Dash

Hey gurus

I have removed most of my dash and accessories for a touch up. Cluster, clock, lighter etc and my battery has been sucked dry.

Has the battery gone flat because of this?

doubtful... the only thing that will drain a battery is a load ie. lights how long have u had your dash out? i hadnt driven my car for a week a little while ago and the battery voltage dropped down to 9V. threw a trickle feed charger on it for 2 hours and have had no problems since.

UPDATE

My battery is sitting on about 11.92v turned off.

I cannot start the car, it just makes a ticking sound under the bonnet.

If I connect my car to another car running the battery sits on about 13.8v.

It will start properly but when I disconnect the other battery the car dies??

Any ideas?
