Firmware/BIOS on PowerFC?

Mine has been updated to v5.1 - any idea what the hell to look for on the HC and what the new BIOS adds?

BIOS can be updated by any HKS Power Excel tuner, and they usually do it when you go in for a tune (well that's the way it works in Japan anyways), so feel free to take it to one of em. Croydon Auto Sports is a Power Excel tuner I think (either that or they have the software pirated). Contact Jim there he might be able to help you out (apparently he's the one that works with the Power Fc tuning).

I make no comment about Croydon.

I'll only say that the PowerFC laptop software is not a common thing (everyone uses the HC) and I'm not sure if the Japanese only s/w can do it. I don't know if CRD have the Japanese software.

yeah they do have the Jap software, and yeah its an Apexi farken 2 in the morning u want me to keep track of brand names

Personally I've never been to CRD, and the closest official Power Excel tuner I know of is in Auckland or something. So unless you're willing to take your car overseas, your options are limited.

BIOS updates only update the OS anyway, most of them would be just finetuning the bugs that may pop up due to conflicts in inputs and overflows due to erroneous sensors. Make sure your car works OK, and the PFC should work well.
