Electric Mirrors

Hi Guys the side mirrors on my 2003 V dont fold in when the car is locked. Is this a key programme issue or is it normal, the mirrors work in and out when operated manually. Cheers

I believe it is a feature on some V's and not others... put the mirror to open mode and it should close when locked...

If not, I doubt you have the feature.

others can confirm.

Maybe factory option?

I have it on mine series 2 06 model, there is a switch for it just below the round knob that adjusts the side mirrors

Thanx James i have the switches too, no matter what configuration i try they still dont turn in when i lock the car

Works on my 05 series 2. Maybe it is a S2 feature? Any S1 owners have this feature?

Mine is series 1 and it doesn't auto fold in. I think this is a feature only on the series 2.

mine is an 03 series 1 and it does.

I haven't seen another that does thou.

My sedan is 02 it doesn't have auto fold in

set your switch so they fold in when you lock the car,

get out and use the top button on your key (lock)

they should fold in, and unfold when you start the engine. Make sure the switch is pressed so the top option is selected.

its part of the dealer fitted conveience package and dealer fitted alarm..

Means it was optional and intergrated into the alarm... Similar to the intergration of the auto mirror down when reversing.
