As long as we are active enough in here then it will always be at the top of the page :P You better stay active in here even when you bail to W.Gaaaaaaaaaay! (W.A)

With members like this how can we go wrong -

I hate to break it to you kids but the reason why there aren't a lot of events or actually forums for up there is because the member base isn't big enough. This has been brought up before.. Many times.. Won't happen..

Oh and no event is an Official SAU event unless sanctioned by the club and advertised in the calendar and posted by an SAU executive.

You guys need to read the event rules before you post stuff.

Not having a dig at you guys but food for thought..

Mmmmmm food! :P

3LACK Underground has been active for a week and already has a HUGE member base for Newcastle.... They a Newcastle club that involves an performance cars but the amount of skylines they have is a hell of a lot more than we have!

Yeah we worked out the official/unofficial crap, we are still nooblets and working on it, this is only the 3rd cruise we have done so itll take a while for us to get all the lingo right

Welcome to Newcastle DIF ;) lolz

Lol.. That's all fine but SAU NSW doesn't have the member base for it. Plus it would just end up like OG days with Westside & Northside..

That's when it becomes very segregated. Otherwise it would be us and them kinda thing.

We all just want to be one big happy family with a NSW wide events... you guys lol...

Can we get Hektic hand gestures and tag each others carz and shi7? :woot: haha

Yeah its all good, We have a good thing happening up here... There were around 20 cars at the first meet, plenty at the second and the third will involve the Central Coast guys this time so who knows :)

SAU NSW FTW

Yea there used to be a really good centy coast meet at fountain plaza where quite a few syd folk and even newy people came to went for quite a few years until some idiots started coming and got shut down :(

I remember the one! I went there in a mates 33 a few times but that hasnt been going for a LONG time.... I was a Coastie for many years :D

All good, i am sure we will work out something in the near future and try revive what has been lost hehe

all one big happy family, as long as we always come down to sydney for everything :D

theres lots of people on sau up here, just not active because the effort has never been put in up here i feel, everyone with a skyline i know says there on it but never go on because theres no point.

the import scene up here is heapsssss bigger then the illawarra one, we may need to find a maq pass version up here to get people from sydney off there ass because the maq pass cruise always draws a crowd of sydney people, and 2-3 illawarra people hahaha.

We have Putty Rd, We WIN :woot:

Ill speak to the boys at 3Lack and get some interclub stuff happening, also the MG guys seem pretty keen for more imports so it WILL grow dude :D

^ Edit your post man.

Take it with a grain of salt but its probably not a good idea to present exactly what security features you have in your GTR on a public forum.

yeh good point, took the link out to what it is in it, not that im sus on any of the guys that post in here but anyone is able to read this not just us didnt think about that lol.

100% compliment mate.

Well done.

Thanks :)

And also, good call on the security stuff!

Well i made just car up what my car was insured for yesterday also to cover the new engine to, cost me $7 a month more, so now im paying like $3000 a year or $250 monthly. I have to swap back to year up front its like $500 less or something stupid like that. I guess thats what i get for being 23 and owning a 34 GTR

Yeah mate! I was 24 when i got my GTT and was paying around the same back then! Now that i have been with them for ages and am an old fart the pricing is really cheap! So it does get better!

Lol when I first had my r32 (gtst) first year was $3500.. (18 years at the time)

Poopra is <$500. My commodore is more expensive..

Haha and now you can buy one for that :P

Some of the prices are crazy when younger etc but now its not so bad.... And having it monthly helps...

That and adding all the extra's for the Excess as i figure if i crash it then it'll learn me :P

    • They usually get made by hand as part of any such swap.
    • Was planning on getting an R35 MAF and the adapter, should this be okay? Also any idea where I could get my hands on an intake pipe?
    • I mean yes, if you're starting from scratch on an unknown engine yes you don't need to be doing all kinds of math in the background but if you're doing relatively minor changes like AFM + injectors + boost up with some aftermarket turbos it takes quite a bit of math if you want to do something like maintain OEM fuel + timing tables but compressed and then a bit more load scale up top. I think I've spent too much time working on big engineering nightmares though so I'm a big fan of trying to constrain the scope of whatever work I'm doing as much as possible and trying to get it right before moving on. For example, a local owner just did the usual E85 + single turbo conversion to his R32 GTR and nearly burned his car to the ground doing some spirited driving up the local mountains. Turbine is unshielded and too close to the hood insulation. It's tough to balance "just get the project done" and "seemingly small details can cause massive setbacks I'm not willing to deal with".
    • No idea about Neil's steering wheel, but I have the same behaviour in the Stagea. I doubt it has ever been messed with so might be normal. Indicating to turn right at a roundabout and correcting even a little bit to the left to go around will cancel the indicator. Never considered it an issue other than it being a bit odd.
    • Does anyone know if this is off centered? Looks like it, when I indicate to go right, but turn my steering wheel slightly left it cancels (was always like that even before I started messing around with it) was wondering if anyone else has the same issue?
