you arent going to get the most out of the cams with only a SAFC, you need an aftermarket computer to tune it properly. all the SAFC does is remove or add fuel into the already existing tune based on how much air is being read by the AFM

In regards to the cost of installing cams, I imagine it won't be cheap.

You have to take the timing belt off and you might also want to remove the radiator and a few other belts to make it easier to get to everything.

Then you have to take all the cam gears, cam covers etc off to change the cams. Then put it all back together properly using new cam seals/cam cover gaskets and making sure the timing is all right before you start it up again.

Definently a few hours labor plus parts.

Nistune that shiz

Its only what $100 for Z32 ECU + $250 for chip + $600 for tune

You will get a lot more out of the car and it will be safer then pulling a bit of fuel here and there

$100 is a bit unrealistic for a Z32 ecu. Least of all for one modified to suit an R33.

Although, I agree. Interceptors are a waste of money.

$100-$200 really if $100 is something to worry about then I wouldn't bother with a skyline.

I went the r32 ecu route.

R32 ecu -$100

R32 nistune board - $250

MSD switch - $100 (controlled VCT on r33 engine)

$450 all up for a working fully programmable ECU

You also paid to have the board soldered into the 32 ecu though or you did it yourself?

And another $200 for the software. It isn't quite programmable without that

and $100 for the Consult cable. Not programmable without that either...

But still cheaper than any decent aftermarket ECU.

I guess what add the dyno as well?

You don't need any of that stuff to get it tuned

If your tuner doesn't have that then your at the wrong place
