After fixing my alternator cable from the weekend, I plugged my battery back in and the chunky alternator fuse blew in my R32. Does anyone Penrithish have one that I could purchase off them? Hopefully I don't have to find out much Nissan think this thing is worth ....

Fusible link? Plastic case with clear cover?

If so they aren't Nissan specific. See an auto electrician or automotive store.Or if it's a blade fuse then maybe a stereo store might be cheaper

Is a fusable link, got one from Scotts Auto one, but then I put it in and it blew, so it seems I may have another problem, which is odd as all I did was put a terminal on the end of the wire, squash it on and then put it back on the alternator, any ideas what could be causing that?

I would be double checking your connection. What do u mean squash it on? If the connection is deformed chances are it is earthing out. It would by rights have an insulator in that connection at the alternator.

Yep. I'd done some searching on the interwebs, and discovered that there is the plastic bit between the terminal and the alternator. Well that had broken and come off as I was doing it I guess and was not there, so the terminal was against the atlernator, and grounding and blowing the fuse. Went and got a new plastic washer and a new main fuse and all is well again.
