M35 Oil And Other Fluids

Recommended Posts

Before anyone flames me I've done a search but can't find a definitive thread.

Just bought my car and as I don't know state of fluids I want to change them all, hope you gurus can help.

Car: 2002 M35 250t, VQ25DET, 82 000kms

Engine Oil: 5W-40, fully synthetic of course, this thickness okay?

Transmission fluid: Nulon Multi-vehicle 100% Synthetic trans fluid?

Differentials: Nulon 100% as above? Someone said it works for everything...

Attessa (4wd system/Centre diff???): Nulon 100% as above? Someone said it works for everything...

Brakes: Super Dot 4

Radiator: Nulon red coolant???

Power steering: Regular power steering fluid?

Any fluids I've missed???

Thanks in advance

Id use green coolant not red.

the nulon synthetic trans fluid can be pretty much used everywhere. however, whatever you do ONLY put matic J or S in the transmission, or compatible fluids. if you put in matic D, it will cost you a transmission.

id use differential fluid in the diffs, if you have an LSD in the rear, use an LSD compatible fluid

Yes

Yes (although it is more the second number you need to concern yourself with. don't go higher then 40 on a VQ25det, they don't like it)

Yes

Yes

Put the rear end on jacks and turn one wheel. If the other wheel turns in the opposite direction you have an LSD.

Or just post your VIN (NM35-xxxxxx) and we can check on FAST

Generally only the cars with hicas 4 wheel steer had LSD diff.

May have changed with the later "P" series?

Mine has an LSD (along with HICAS), but the LSD option doesn't appear on FAST.
