hey guys does anyone know what the DIN slot actually means?

i ask because i want to buy a drink holder to fit in the empty space under my cd player (which i assume is a DIN slot?

i asked the seller and he replied:

Hi, I'm not 100% sure to be honest but if you can fit a single-din head unit then you should have no problems fitting this din pocket underneath. The drawers open out 85mm so just check that they won't clash with the gear stick.

now i know the drawers opening out 85mm will be an issue when im in park but i dont need to use them while in park, i just want to know if it will fit in the DIN slot? does anyone know?

I tried it once, it doesnt work too well as the DIN doesnt sit flat, so when you slide the drink holder out, the drinks tilt forward..

If you do it, im interested to see it, as the only DIN drink holder i found was a sack of shit from repco that broke the first time i put a drink in it so took it back for a refund lol.
