Gtr Boost Question

Just brought a R32GTR with stock turbo's , and i want to know if i install an electronic boost controller how much boost can the standard turbos handle before i risk damaging them .

how long is a piece of string ? I regularly run 19psi but only for very short periods, dyno power run or drags, no burnouts

and 15/16psi for the rest of the time including trackdays, but I never do burnouts or powerskids where boost is on full for any length of time

and this has been the norm for 10years and two sets of turbos, first set was replaced cause the bearings were gone and the wheels were scraping the housings

this is in my 93 model R32 GTR

Best advise get rid of the stranded turbos as if they do blow it will destroy ur engine

If you want to ensure they do not die (and kill your motor)

14psi = nice and safe, and a good increase over stock.

You'll need ECU/exhaust as well to compliment

yeah its an R32 . Got a power fc and exhaust so to keep it safe until i get a set of N1 turbos ill run a bar of boost .

Unless they are R34 N1 - don't bother with them... You'll regret it as they are rubbish

Better off buying a new set of Garrett -7s or -9s
